My mission is to feed people; especially our budding youth. In whatever form that may be. Imagine if we were equipped with some of life’s most Essential skills from the start, giving an advantage and assisting us with our growth. Equipped with key life skills; Essentials,…makes for a more prosperous and productive future. I started a personal chef business to feed people; literally (and because I love to cook)….but my business focus quickly changed as I defined my ideas, coupled it with my career background, and mixed in my personal and business experiences. Essentials By… was born.
I am Ebony Mosby Ray, wife and mother.  I am a Personal Chef with a strong background in Cyber Security. I am an entrepreneur. I am a financial literacy advocate; because it is an Essential skill that must be learned early, to avoid mistakes that could affect your future. My experiences inspired me to share these nuggets with others, especially youth who need to acquire these skillsets in order to build a solid foundation of basic Essentials. 

Financial Literacy, Computer IT, and Culinary skills are all essentials. I want to provide these services to others, as well as teach others how to do these things for themselves.  I want to feed these essentials into people’s lives so that they can succeed.  Essentials By… provides essential life needs, and shares those skills with others.  We feed people…

My passion is to serve, and to give back.  Providing meals for those in need through Sunday Suppers and other groups with similar missions.  I will continue to fight this cause in a continuous effort to feed people.
